iversion Basin Sediment Assessment: Two sediment samples (SS-0
and SS-02) underwent Polarized Light Microscopy (PLM), Scanning Elec
ron Microscopy (SEM), and Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (EDS s
ectrum) analysis. The analyses identified fly ash in the sampl
s and determined the concentration of fly ash to be 75% based on
the number of particles identified and the relative difficulty of l
cating them. The sediment thicknesses ranged from 1.0 inch to
.7 inches, with an average of 3.30 inches, weighted by area, across the DB.
